About the Founder of WMI
Life has a funny way of nudging us towards unexpected paths, doesn't it? Hi If you've made it this far, it's such a pleasure to meet you! I'm BJ, and if there's one thing I've learned from my journey, it's that resilience and compassion can lead us to remarkable places.
Growing up wasn't easy for me. At 12, I lost my mother and father was serving a lengthy incarceration. It's safe to say life threw me some curveballs early on. But amidst the challenges, I discovered a deep-seeded desire to help others. It's like empathy runs through my veins—giving back has always felt like second nature. My career started in healthcare, where I spent a decade caring for countless individuals, each one leaving an indescribable mark on my heart. The highs were exhilarating, the lows - heart-wrenching, but through it all, I kept learning and growing.
Things took an unexpected but life changing turn that led me to Florida where I started learning more about the business side of things as it relates to leadership, diversity, & inclusion. Then, a twist of fate found me excelling in recruiting—a role that felt like a perfect fit. But despite the successes, something was missing. That's when I decided to, you guessed it, get a therapist (lol). It was a game-changer this time around, opening my eyes to my true potential and reigniting my passion for supporting others.
Funny how life works, right? A webinar on life coaching sparked a revelation: this was my calling. After immersing myself in multiple trainings, I proudly earned my stripes as a Certified Master Life Coach. And with my knack for resume writing and talent development, I found a unique way to give back. Thus, W.E. M.O.V.E. Intentionally was born (in the middle of the night might I add)—a culmination of my experience, passions, and a burning desire to make a difference.
Through the ups and downs, I've realized one thing: navigating life's twists and turns isn't easy, but it's entirely possible. And now, I'm here, building a community and a support system, as we all journey toward our goals.
